The Prospect
Our Child Protection and Family Support division in the North Metropolitan Region is seeking passionate and dedicated professionals to join our team.
We are establishing a pool of qualified candidates for current and future permanent and fixed-term opportunities across our Mirrabooka, Perth, Joondalup and Midland offices.
There is currently one (1) permanent
Senior Child Safety Practitioner
position available for immediate filling located in Mirrabooka.
Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments will be made for this or similar future vacancies (fixed term or permanent) that arise within the next 12 months across the Department of Communities.
The Roles
As a
Senior Child Safety Practitioner
, you will play a critical role in protecting and supporting vulnerable children, young people and families.
Working across child protection, children in care and family support, you will manage complex casework, undertake assessments and investigations, provide expert advice to colleagues, and work collaboratively with families, communities and partner agencies to improve safety and wellbeing outcomes.
This role is ideal for practitioners who are passionate about statutory child protection, complex decision-making and supporting families through change.
As a
Senior Child Safety Practitioner Care Services
, you will specialise in supporting children and young people in care to achieve safety, stability and positive life outcomes.
You will work closely with carers, children, families and stakeholders to coordinate care arrangements, support placement planning, contribute to care decision-making, and strengthen local care and placement options.
This role is suited to practitioners who enjoy building relationships,



supporting carers and ensuring children in care receive the services and support they need to thrive.

Qualification Requirements
You must have a Bachelors degree in Social Work, Psychology, or relevant human services area to be eligible for this position.
All overseas qualifications must be assessed for Australian equivalency.
