Established in ****, it provides the design, construction, commissioning, and maintenance of overhead and underground power distribution and transmission networks, with strong expertise in supporting the mining sector.
As part of our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced
Electrical Estimator
to support and strengthen our projects portfolio.
This role is critical to ensure Future Power continues to deliver accurate, competitive and high‐quality electrical solutions to our tier‐one mining clients.
About the Role
Reporting to senior leadership, you will be responsible for leading the electrical estimating function across a diverse range of mining and resources projects.
You will work closely with operations, engineering and leadership teams to develop robust estimates that reflect Future Power's commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities
· Contribute to the preparation of construction schedules, methodologies, and supporting documentation.
· Prepare time, cost, materials, and labour estimates.
· Review contract conditions and handle pre-contract monitoring and reporting.
· Attend site inspections, participate in meetings, and maintain strong client and supplier relationships.
· Negotiate confidently with suppliers and subcontractors
· Prepare detailed electrical estimates for mining projects,



shutdowns and asset management works
· Review drawings, scopes and specifications to ensure accurate and complete cost submissions
· Develop costings for labour, materials, equipment, subcontractors and indirect costs
· Engage with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive and compliant pricing
· Identify project risks and opportunities during tender reviews
· Support bid strategies that align with Future Power's quality‐first approach
· Provide clear handovers and cost clarity to delivery teams post‐award
About You
· Electrical trade background or tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering (or similar)
· Proven experience estimating electrical works within the mining or resources sector
· Strong understanding of HV/LV systems, plant and infrastructure electrical scopes,
· Experience working on time‐critical project tenders in remote locations
· High attention to detail and strong commercial awareness
· Confident communicator able to work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels
· Proficiency in estimating tools and Microsoft Excel
