About the Role
This is a permanent full‐time role responsible for supporting MAP WA's Quality & Compliance function and ensuring our operations meet the highest standards of food safety, product integrity, and regulatory compliance.
The QA Officer plays a critical role in maintaining MAP WA's Quality Management System (QMS) and ensuring alignment with CFMSR, HACCP, DAFF export regulations, and all relevant WA and Commonwealth legislation.
You will work closely with production, operations, and compliance teams to uphold quality standards, support audit readiness, and drive continuous improvement across the business.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands‐on environment and enjoys collaborating with teams to achieve excellence.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain and support MAP WA's QMS in alignment with CFMSR, HACCP, DAFF, and




internal standards.
• Conduct internal audits, GMP inspections, hygiene checks, and process verifications.
• Assist with HACCP plan maintenance, CCP monitoring, and food safety documentation.
• Ensure compliance with Coles Supplier Requirements, including:
• Allergen management
• GMP and hygiene standards
• Foreign matter controls
• Supplier approval and raw material risk assessment
• Traceability and mass balance activities
• Support DAFF export compliance, including Approved Arrangements, audit preparation,
and documentation.
• Investigate non‐conformances, customer complaints, and quality incidents; implement
corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Provide training and guidance to staff on food safety, hygiene, and quality procedures.
• Assist with product testing, environmental monitoring, calibration and verification activities.
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation for internal and external audits.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across production and quality
functions.
What We're Looking For
Essential
• Experience in quality assurance, food safety, or compliance within food manufacturing or primary production.




• Strong understanding of HACCP principles and food safety systems.
•Ability to interpret and apply regulatory requirements (Food Act WA, export regulations, biosecurity standards).
• Robust communication, problem‐solving, and analytical skills.
• High attention to detail and strong organisational capability.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and quality management systems.
Highly Desirable
• Experience with CFMSR (Coles Food Manufacturing Supplier Requirements).
• Experience with HACCP in chilled/frozen food manufacturing environments.
• Experience working with DAFF export regulations, Approved Arrangements, and export
certification processes.
•Internal auditing qualifications (HACCP, SQF, BRC, or similar).
• Tertiary qualifications in Food Science or related fields.
