About the Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Paediatric Orthopaedic Physiotherapist to join our multidisciplinary team at Canberra Hospital.
This is an exciting opportunity to provide specialist physiotherapy services across acute inpatient, outpatient and multidisciplinary settings while contributing to service innovation, education, and research.
As part of the Division of Allied Health, you will join a team committed to delivering accessible, high-quality, evidence-based care that achieves the best possible outcomes for children and young people.
As the Paediatric Orthopaedic Physiotherapist, you will provide advanced assessment, treatment, and management for infants, children, and adolescents with a range of orthopaedic conditions across inpatient, outpatient, and multidisciplinary clinic settings.
You will deliver evidence-based, family-centred care that optimises physical function, participation, and quality of life, while providing expert clinical consultation and specialist advice to multidisciplinary teams.
The role includes educating and supporting patients and families through shared decision-making,



supervising and mentoring physiotherapy staff and students, and contributing to workforce development.
You will also lead and participate in quality improvement initiatives, service development projects, research translation, and outcome evaluation activities, while supporting the development and implementation of clinical guidelines, pathways, and best-practice models of care to ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and contemporary paediatric orthopaedic physiotherapy services.
