We are seeking a Senior MEP Estimator to support Renewable Energy Projects.
About the RoleBudgeting of renewable energy EPC project including Indicative PriceCompile comprehensive project estimates by factoring in labour and material expenses, subcontractor quotations, and overhead costsCollaborate seamlessly with diverse departments to accumulate essential data for building estimates while ensuring an all-encompassing understanding of the projectConduct comprehensive quantity take-offs and cost computations based on project schematics and specificationsEvaluate and facilitate negotiations with multiple vendors and subcontractors to ensure both competitive pricing and qualityCoordinate effectively with project managers, cost controllers, planners, and engineers to review and finalise estimatesContinuously monitor project expenditures and update estimates as necessary throughout the project lifecyclePrepare and deliver estimates to clients, effectively addressing any queries or concerns they may have Relevant Technical Knowledge relating to Product SpecificationsMaintain and manage comprehensive documentation and records of estimates, ensuring their accuracy and completenessStrong analytical and mathematical skills to evaluate and analyse data, trends, and variables influencing project costsProficiency in tracking actual project costs against estimates and identifying discrepancies to make necessary adjustmentsMeticulous attention to detail to ensure that all project cost components are accurately accounted for in estimates
About YouTertiary qualification in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering or similarExperience 5+ years to support bid/tender phaseExperience in Renewable Energy, Gas, BESS projectsStrong background in MEP or balance of plant (BoP) estimating within heavy industrial, power generation, or resource sectorsUnderstanding of both complex mechanical piping (gas/cooling) and high-voltage grid connections or battery substation layouts.Experience in an EPC workplace managing project design scope, schedule, and budgetExcellent communication and problem-solving skillsWork well under pressureCollaboration skill in multi-disciplinary organisation
