Dawson MineOur Dawson operation is a large open-cut coal mine and is showing no signs of slowing down!
Dawson is located at the southern end of the Bowen Basin in Central Queensland, being just over a 2hrs drive west from either Rockhampton or Gladstone, or 4.5hrs drive north of the Darling Downs or South Burnett.

In Australia, we operate five steelmaking coal mines in Queensland's Bowen Basin, and have additional joint venture interests in steelmaking coal and manganese, as well as copper exploration projects underway in North West Queensland and Western Australia.Job Description :We are currently seeking an experienced Diesel Fitter, to join theSouthern Workshop Maintenance teamat our Dawson Mine in Moura, QLD.To be successful in this role you will ensure compliance with all Anglo American safety and operating systems and have a commitment to working together as part of a team to achieve business objectives.Your core accountabilities will include:Ensure that plant and equipment is maintained to a high level.Undertake troubleshooting, fault finding, breakdown and preventative maintenance on various CAT & Komatsu Heavy Mobile Equipment (Dozers, Graders, Loaders, Trucks, Watercarts).




Achieve performance targets in compliance with statutory, safety, health, budget and environmental requirements.Knowledge of SAP and Auto Electrical experience is not essential but highly desirable.Qualifications :Mechanical Trade QualificationHold a current Australian Manual Drivers LicenceMinimum of C Class Manual Drivers LicenceExperience with safety management systemsExperience within a mining Mobile Maintenance OperationsHIAB, EWP, Forklift, Dogging and Rigging Certificates (desirable)Additional information :Based at our Dawson Mine in Moura, QLDRoster:7 on, 7 off(Day &Night; shifts)Employed under the Dawson Collective Enterprise Agreement ****Market leading pay rates & attractive over-time rates!
