Motor Trade Association of WA – Balcatta WAMTA WA Training Inc is a Registered Training Organisation delivering nationally recognised, industry leading training across the automotive sector.
Using short, focused training blocks combined with workplace based assessment, we provide learners with hands on, practical skills while maximising time on the job.
With contemporary training facilities in both North and South metropolitan locations, integrated electric and hybrid vehicle training, and strong industry and employer engagement, we ensure learners are supported, work ready, and prepared for the future of the motor industry.
Our current training scope includes light vehicle, auto electrical, hybrid and electric vehicles, air conditioning, tyres, sales and yard/dealer programs, and accessory fitting courses.About the roleThe Training Administration Assistant provides day‐to‐day administrative and customer service support to the Training Department, assisting with learner attendance, enrolments, rescheduling, and basic course administration tasks.The role supports the maintenance of accurate records and data entry in line with RTO Standards and Department of Training and Workforce Development requirements, and assists with the coordination of tyre servicing, skills assessments, and other short courses as directed.Working under the guidance of administration officers, the Training Administration Assistant liaises with trainers, learners, and employers to support smooth daily operations and contribute to MTA WA's standards of professionalism, compliance,
and service delivery.Key responsibilities:Provide course information to learners and stakeholdersAssist with the scheduling and rescheduling of training blocks as directedSupport daily attendance recording and follow up absenteesAssist with learner enrolments and associated paperworkPrepare and issue certificates and statements of attainmentsRespond to routine enquiries from learners, employers, and schoolsMaintain, file, and archive student records in accordance with proceduresEnter assessment results into VETtrak accurately and in a timely mannerProcess and file course‐related paperworkPrint and prepare course materialsPerform general administrative tasks to support RTO operationsAssist with RTO compliance activities and basic reporting tasksSupport the collection and preparation of data for audits and government reporting under supervisionIf you possess the following criteria, we would love to hear from youAttention to detail, focusing on accuracy of informationAbility to manage own workload and prioritiesAbility to work independently and in a teamExperience in data entry and record managementProven interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written)Customer service skills to internal and external stakeholdersMS Office and computer skillsUnderstanding of the VET sector and the functions of an RTOExperience using VETtrak or another student management systemQualifications / Licences:Ability to obtain a Western Australian Working With Children CheckDriver's Licence and reliable transportGreat terms and conditions including a nine-day fortnight are on offer for the successful applicant!
