About The Role
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing any electrical systems and equipment across our facility.
Patties Perth is a 24-hour food manufacturing facility, so this role requires flexibility to work rotational shifts across day, afternoon, and night shift patterns to support operational requirements, with an expectation of reasonable overtime .
Diagnose and repair electrical faults in machinery, control panels, and wiring systems.
Perform preventive maintenance to keep equipment and systems reliable and reduce breakdowns.
Install and upgrade electrical systems (motors, control circuits, lighting, distribution boards).
Ensure safety and compliance with electrical codes, standards, and workplace health & safety.
Document and report maintenance activities including repairs, inspections, and system updates.
The Person
Skills
To be successful in this role,



you will have previous experience in a similar role preferably in the food / FMCG landscape.
You will also have previous experience and skills regarding the following:
Electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance of industrial/food processing equipment.
Fault finding in complex electrical systems and machinery to meet production targets.
Perform both breakdown response and preventive maintenance, including routine facility upkeep.
Read and interpret electrical/mechanical blueprints and technical drawings.
Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, multitasking, and communication skills.
Identify and implement improvements in maintenance practices and plant performance.
Computer literacy with experience using maintenance systems (e.g., MEX).
Knowledge of WHS principles and compliance with safety standards.
Trade-qualified electrician; prior experience in food or pharmaceutical manufacturing preferred.
