About the Role
SOILCO is currently building an organics processing facility in Bega, NSW, and is looking for an experienced project manager with a proven track record delivering complex infrastructure projects from planning through to completion.
We are looking for a proactive and organised professional who can manage multiple stakeholders, drive project performance, and ensure successful project outcomes, while benefitting from a supportive, close-knit workplace, along with the expanded resources and opportunities of a larger organisation.
Responsibilities
Manage a civil construction project from commencement through to successful completion at Wolumla, near Bega and Merimbula.Develop and maintain project programs, budgets, forecasts, and resource plans.Prepare estimates, manage project costs, and monitor financial performance.Lead project team, subcontractors, and suppliers to achieve project objectives.Build and maintain strong relationships with the client (Bega Valley Shire Council), consultants, and other key stakeholders.Identify, assess, and manage project risks while implementing effective mitigation strategies.Ensure compliance with all GC21 contractual obligations, legislation, quality standards, and safety requirements.Monitor project progress and provide regular reporting on cost,



schedule, risk, and performance.Drive continuous improvement across project delivery, systems, and processes.Ensure the project is completed to client expectations while maintaining high standards of workmanship and professionalism.Regular on-site presence to ensure program, quality, environmental and safety standards are being maintained on-site.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management or related field (preferred)Minimum 5 years' experience in project management, with a focus on civil construction projectsCertifications in Project Management (eg. PMP, PRINCE2) will be highly regardedPrevious experience leading teams in construction projectsStrong understanding of civil construction principles, from design to executionExcellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilitiesPrevious experience in GC21 contract execution is highly desirableA valid driver's licence
