Global collaboration opportunitiesA strong company culture.The OpportunityThe Hydrographic Survey Engineer will be responsible for preparing, installing and maintaining all survey equipment onshore (workshop) and offshore.This position is based in Welshpool, AustraliaKey responsibilitiesParticipate in and comply with Cyan's Integrated Management System (IMS), Business Management System (BMS), and Competency Assurance System (CAS).
Promote and support health, safety, environmental, and quality (HSEQ) standards both onshore and offshore.Install, calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair offshore survey equipment to ensure operational readiness.Monitor equipment performance, report faults promptly, and prepare engineering handover notes and equipment fault reports.Assist with sensor calibration, project equipment preparation, and become proficient in offshore survey software such as QINSy, Verify,



and Fusion USBL.Provide workshop and warehouse support and perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or management.QualificationsCompletion of a Bachelor degree qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, Electrical and Electronic Engineering or Computer Sciences (desirable)Valid C Class Driver's LicenseMinimum 6 years' experience in the offshore maritime, military or oil and gas industryExperience mobilising vessels and equipmentPrevious experience with a range of subsea survey equipment and software is desirable, including but not limited to QINSy navigation, Veripos, Edgetech Discover, Sonarwiz, Sonardyne, USBL, Side Scan Sonar, Boomer, Sparker, Magnetometer, MBES etc.Can work as a leader and member of a team, or individuallyDemonstrated safety management awarenessAbility to use established systems (Quality and Safety)Demonstrated logistics experienceAt Cyan Renewables, we strive to foster a diverse and inclusive workplace that empowers all employees to strive for their full potential.
