Registrar – Trainee – Radiation Oncology
Please
note this is for the **** Registrar intake and is designed for
candidates intending to undertake accredited specialty training in
Radiation Oncology through the Royal Australian and New Zealand
College of Radiologists (RANZCR).
This
is a Recruitment Pool for Fixed Term Full Time or Part Time
appointments for 6 or 12 months with the possibility of
extension(s).
Suitable
applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be
made when similar vacancies occur.
Appointments may be made from
this pool until 01/02/2027.
Appointments
for this position will not commence until ****.
Salary:
MP Year 1-7 $128,760 - $175,802 p.a. pro rata (plus 12%
superannuation and professional development allowance)
Position Profile:Applicants will be considered for
Radiation Oncology positions across the Metropolitan Health Service
participating in the Inter-Hospital Rotating Scheme (IHRS).
Successful applicants may be appointed to any of the participating
health sites for 6 or 12-month placements.
Area Profiles:
Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital (SCGH) is
located at the Queen Elizabeth II Medical Centre 4km from Perth
city centre, SCGH provides a comprehensive range of clinical
service including trauma, emergency and critical care,
orthopaedics, general medicine, general surgery and cardiac care.
It is home to WA's only comprehensive cancer centre - the largest
cancer treatment centre in the State - and is the State's principal
hospital for neurosurgery and liver transplants.
Fiona Stanley Hospital
(FSH) is a 783-bed tertiary hospital offering a
range of health services including the State rehabilitation
service, a comprehensive cancer centre, purpose-built mental health
unit, maternity, paediatric and neonatal services, and the State
adult burns service.
FSH also delivers specialised services such as
heart and lung transplantations and hyperbaric medicine.
