About the role
My Clinic Plus is seeking a
Registered Nurse (RN) specialising in General Practice & Urgent Care
to join our team in Ulverstone & Burnie, Tasmania.
This is a
part-time position
that offers flexibility whilst delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced general practice and urgent care environment.
As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in supporting our clinical team, ensuring patients receive exceptional care and have positive experiences at our clinic.
What you'll be doing
As a Registered Nurse in our general practice and urgent care setting, your key responsibilities will include:
Providing direct patient care, including wound care, injections, immunisations and minor procedures
Conducting patient health assessments and vital signs monitoring
Assisting clinicians during consultations and minor surgical procedures
Managing patient flow and triage in the urgent care environment
Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records in accordance with privacy regulations
Health education and patient counselling on preventative care and chronic disease management
Ensuring clinical areas are clean, safe and well-stocked with necessary supplies and equipment
Collaborating with general practitioners, allied health professionals and administrative staff to deliver coordinated patient care
Contributing to continuous quality improvement initiatives and clinical governance
Responding to urgent and emergency situations with appropriate clinical protocols
What we're looking for
To be successful in this role, we're seeking a nurse with the following qualifications and experience:
Current registration with APRHA as a Registered Nurse
Current First Aid and CPR certification appropriate to healthcare settings




Minimum 2 years experience in general practice, urgent care or primary healthcare settings
Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills in a quick-paced environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients from diverse backgrounds
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritise workload
Commitment to professional development and evidence-based practice
Knowledge of relevant legislation, including privacy and confidentiality requirements
Preferred: Experience with practice management systems and electronic health records
Preferred: Additional qualifications in wound management, immunisation nursing or minor illness management
