About the
Opportunity
The Finance
and Business Analyst:
Provides
business management support and advice to Corporate Area
Executive Groups (AEGs) within the East Metropolitan Health
Service (EMHS).
Oversees
financial, activity and FTE result analysis and reporting, and
develops forecasting methodologies.
Coordinates and supports
interpretation of business performance including financial,
activity and FTE against key performance and benchmarking data,
and contributes to the management and improvement of EMHS
performance against agreed indicators.
Provides
Financial / Business process support for EMHS Corporate AEGs
and Cost Centre managers.
Contributes to ensuring
budget and activity literacy of Corporate AEG Executive
Directors, Directors, Managers, and other relevant stakeholders
to enable optimal and sustainable decision-making.
Whilst this
selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy,
applicants found suitable for this position may be considered for
other 'similar' vacancies within EMHS and/or the wider WA public
sector.
In addition to this, should the successful applicant
decline or vacate the advertised vacancy, then the next most
suitable applicant may also be selected from this process.
Both of
these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from
when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment
decision.

Profile: The East Metropolitan
Health Service (EMHS) comprises an extensive hospital and health
service network that aims to maintain and improve the health and
wellbeing of more than 828,000 Western Australians in its catchment
area.
Our hospital
network works together to provide a combination of tertiary,
secondary and specialist health care services including emergency
and critical care, state trauma, elective and emergency surgery,
general medical, mental health, inpatient and outpatient services,
aged care, palliative care, rehabilitation and women's, children's
and neonates services.
The EMHS
consists of Royal Perth Hospital; Mt Lawley Hospital; Armadale
Health Service; Bentley Health Service; Kalamunda Hospital; St John
of God Midland Public Hospital and a range of community and
population health services.
