Farmers Centre **** is seeking an experienced and motivated
Service Manager
to lead our workshop and field service operations at our Lake Grace branch.
This is more than a hands-on technical role—it's an opportunity to take ownership of a busy service department, lead a skilled team of technicians, and play a key role in delivering outstanding support to our agricultural customers.
As a member of the branch leadership team, you will be responsible for developing your team, driving workshop productivity and profitability, maintaining exceptional customer relationships, and ensuring the highest standards of service delivery across the region.

? Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
Lead, mentor and support a team of workshop and field service technicians
Foster a positive, safety-focused and high-performance team culture
Coach and develop staff through ongoing training and performance management
Coordinate staffing requirements, workload allocation and resource planning
Service Operations




Oversee daily workshop and field service activities to ensure efficient operations
Monitor productivity, job progress and workshop performance
Manage seasonal service planning to meet customer demand during key farming periods
Ensure all work is completed to manufacturer and company standards
Customer & Business Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and agribusiness clients
Provide technical guidance and solutions to customers and team members
Manage quoting, job costing, repair orders and invoicing processes
Work closely with Parts, Sales and Branch Management to deliver exceptional customer outcomes
Drive service department profitability and customer satisfaction
Technical Oversight
Support technicians with diagnosis and repair of agricultural equipment, including Case IH and JCB machinery
Oversee machinery assembly, pre-delivery inspections and quality control
Ensure best-practice workshop processes and safety standards are maintained
✅ About You
Trade qualified Diesel Mechanic, Agricultural Technician, Motor Mechanic or similar
Previous experience in a Service Manager, Workshop Foreman, Leading Hand or Senior Technician role
Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop teams
Strong mechanical, hydraulic and electrical diagnostic skills
Excellent communication and customer relationship skills
Organised with robust planning and problem-solving abilities
Committed to delivering exceptional customer service
Current driver's licence
