About the RoleA PMO Reporting Analyst (Power BI) contract position is available within a large enterprise organisation in Perth, Western Australia, supporting the delivery of portfolio reporting, governance and executive decision-making capability across a complex technology environment.
This role offers broad exposure across PMO reporting, Power BI dashboard development, portfolio governance, project performance reporting and enterprise reporting processes, making it an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys transforming data into meaningful insights while working closely with project teams, stakeholders and senior leadership.
The successful candidate will support the organisation's Project Management Office by developing, maintaining and distributing accurate portfolio performance, risk and compliance reporting to support governance forums and executive decision-making.
Working alongside the PMO leadership team, project managers and key stakeholders, you'll build and enhance Power BI dashboards, validate portfolio data, coordinate governance reporting processes and ensure reporting outputs provide clear visibility across project performance, risks, issues and delivery outcomes.
This is an initial 5-month contract with a high likelihood of extension.
You Should HaveExperience producing portfolio, project or program reporting within a PMO environmentDemonstrated Power BI development experience,



including dashboard creation and enhancementStrong data analysis skills with experience preparing and validating reporting dataExperience gathering stakeholder requirements and translating them into effective reporting solutionsAbility to produce accurate executive-level reporting and governance materialsStrong written and verbal communication skillsExcellent attention to detail with the ability to validate data quality and consistencyStrong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlinesCollaborative working style with the ability to work independently and engage effectively with stakeholders

Key ResponsibilitiesBuild, maintain and distribute portfolio and executive reporting, including month-end portfolio reports and governance summariesDevelop,



update and enhance Power BI dashboards to provide visibility across:Portfolio performanceProject status and KPIsRisks and issuesCompliance reportingGovernance metricsPrepare, validate and analyse portfolio data from multiple sources to ensure reporting accuracyUse Power BI reporting capabilities to collate and validate project status information, following up with stakeholders to resolve missing or inconsistent dataCoordinate governance submissions and prepare materials for executive governance forumsSupport stage gate reviews and portfolio governance processesAssist with the administration of portfolio management systems, including project updates, stage gate progression and user access managementManage reporting requests through workflow systems, intake processes and shared mailbox channelsMaintain reporting documentation, templates, procedures and governance materialsSupport continuous improvement initiatives across reporting processes, dashboards and data qualityProvide guidance and training to project stakeholders on governance processes and reporting systemsSupport the IT Portfolio Manager and wider PMO function with ongoing portfolio activities
