What is our Clinical Midwife - Midwifery Antenatal/Postnatal Service(MAPS) role?
The Clinical Midwife - Midwifery Antenatal/Postnatal Service (MAPS) is based within the Women and Newborn Services at Osborne Park Hospital (OPH).
The role provides coordinated antenatal and postnatal midwifery care through a continuity model, supporting women and their families from pregnancy through to the postnatal period.
Working within a multidisciplinary team, the Clinical Midwife provides comprehensive assessment, care planning, education and care coordination, promoting informed decision-making and facilitating timely referral to specialist services when required.
The role collaborates closely with multidisciplinary teams across OPH and the Women and Newborn Health Service (WNHS), including King Edward Memorial Hospital (KEMH), to ensure women receive seamless care throughout their pregnancy journey.
Clinical Midwives practise in accordance with the NMBA Registered Midwife Standards for Practice, delivering safe, evidence-based and woman-centred care while contributing to clinical leadership, quality improvement, mentorship and service development.
You will be an enthusiastic and innovative clinician whose actions, interactions and partnerships contribute to excellence in patient care.
During the selection process you will be assessed on your ability to fulfil the responsibilities of this position while demonstrating the NMHS values of Care, Respect, Innovation, Teamwork and Integrity.
Applicants must hold a current Western Australian "C" or "C.A" Class Driver's Licence.

The Women and Newborn Health Service (WNHS) is part of the North Metropolitan Health Service (NMHS) and comprises King Edward Memorial Hospital (KEMH), the maternity unit at Osborne Park Hospital (OPH) and a range of specialist women's and newborn health services.
Together, these services provide comprehensive maternity,



neonatal and gynaecology care for women and families across Western Australia.
The Women and Newborn Services at OPH provide maternity and gynaecology care for women with low to moderate risk pregnancies in a welcoming suburban hospital.
Women receive high-quality, evidence-based care through a range of contemporary models of care, supported by multidisciplinary teams and seamless access to specialist and tertiary services across WNHS when required.
