About
the Role
The City is
seeking a Gym Instructor to expand their fun, friendly and
professional Health and Fitness team.
The position requires
expertise in delivering exercise instruction to range of clientele
with varying goals, injuries and abilities.
In addition to this,
the position involves undertaking substantial administrative tasks
associated with membership sales processes and customer service.
The successful appointee will be responsible for:
Supervising the gym
floor ensuring correct exercise technique and equipment use are
instructed to members and patrons;
Provides
high level customer service through the assessment, development
and delivery of individual fitness programs for gym
members;
Undertaking
administration duties associated with membership sales
processes;
Conducting personal
training and small group training sessions;
Providing outstanding
customer service experiences; and
Conducting follow up
contact with members via phone, email for the purposes of
member engagement as directed by the Health and Fitness Team
Leader.
About
You
As a
collaborative member of the Health and Fitness team, the Gym
Instructor position is critical to gaining and retaining members
through the continued engagement and motivation of Aquamotion
patrons.
The
successful candidate must be adaptable, energetic and an
enthusiastic lover of fitness.
They must also thrive working
in a very busy and change driven organisation, and as such,
applicants must be able to demonstrate through their CV and
covering letter that they meet the following
capabilities:
Cert III
in Fitness;
Cert IV
in Fitness;
First
Aid Certificate (current);
Provide
CPR Certificate (current);
Developed interpersonal,
verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to
work collaboratively within a team environment;
Experience working
within a sales environment will be viewed as highly
desirable;
A desire
to have a career within the Health and Fitness industry where
one can directly impact the lifestyles of many; and
Available for a range of
shifts spanning from Monday to Friday 7am to 7pm and 7.30am to
5.00pm on weekends.
