John XXIII College is seeking a proactive and organised Science Laboratory Technician to support our vibrant Science Department.
This role provides an chance to contribute to high-quality teaching and learning by assisting with the preparation of practical activities, maintaining laboratory resources, and supporting the safe operation of laboratories across the College.
Placing students at the heart of everything we do, the successful candidate will be committed to 'Cura Personalis': care for the whole person in support of educational best practice.
Skills & Experience
Prepare, organise and set up equipment, chemicals,



solutions, specimens, models and other resources required for practical lessons, demonstrations, assessments.
Liaise with Science teaching staff regarding practical requirements, timelines, resource availability and safe methods for classroom activities, maintaining an effective booking and preparation system.
Prepare chemical solutions, stains, media and other laboratory materials in accordance with recognised procedures, relevant safety information and College requirements.
The successful candidate must hold a Current Working with Children clearance and National Criminal History Check issued by the Department of Education WA (or to be obtained prior to employment).
