Wangara MG, part of Regent Motors, is seeking a qualified and experienced
Automotive Technician
to join our friendly Service team.
This is an excellent opportunity to work with a growing automotive brand in a supportive workshop environment.
You'll carry out servicing, diagnostics and repairs while working alongside a skilled team committed to quality workmanship and outstanding customer service.
What you'll be doing
Completing scheduled vehicle servicing and general maintenance
Diagnosing mechanical, electrical and technical faults
Repairing and replacing engines, transmissions, suspension systems and other components
Carrying out warranty repairs in accordance with manufacturer guidelines
Conducting engine and mechanical tests to identify vehicle faults
Reporting required servicing and repairs to the Service Manager
Accurately recording completed work using dealership systems
Identifying and ordering parts required for repairs and warranty work
Test-driving vehicles and completing final quality inspections
Ensuring vehicles are safe and ready to be returned to customers
Maintaining current knowledge of the MG vehicle range and technical updates
Providing guidance and support to apprentice technicians
Keeping tools and specialised equipment in safe working condition
Following all workplace health, safety and dealership procedures
Delivering a high standard of workmanship and customer service
What we're looking for
A recognised automotive trade qualification




Relevant certification to work as a Motor Vehicle Mechanic
Previous experience in an Automotive Technician role
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities
Sound knowledge of engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension and automotive electrical systems
The ability to work effectively both independently and within a team
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Excellent communication and time-management skills
A positive attitude and strong work ethic
A customer-focused and professional approach
A current Australian C Class driver's licence
Experience supporting or training apprentice technicians will be highly regarded
