Position Overview
We are currently recruiting for a Project Mine Geologist to join Maritana Minerals at a pivotal stage of our growth journey.
A newly created role, the Project Mine Geologist will be responsible for providing high-quality geological support during the development, construction and commissioning of mining operations.
Working closely with mining and technical services teams, the role ensures accurate geological interpretation, grade control, ore delineation and reconciliation to support safe, efficient and profitable mining activities.
Reporting to the Geology Manager, this role is integral to the successful transitioning of projects from development into production by providing timely geological information and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

About You
You are a professional geologist with previous experience in exploration and/or mining operations and a track record of delivering positive outcomes as part of a geology team.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
· Tertiary qualifications in Geology, Geoscience or a related discipline.
· Approximately 3-8 years of proven experience in a Mine Geologist role, ideally in gold-focused projects.
· Robust understanding of underground mining geology and grade control practices.
· Geological mapping and logging experience.
· Experience supervising drilling contractors.
· Proficiency in 3D modelling software (Micromine, Leapfrog).
· Strong understanding of QA/QC procedures.
· Current Drivers Licence, able to pass an E18 clearance and site medical.
Location, Travel and Flexibility
This position will be residential in Kalgoorlie or FIFO from Perth to the Goldfields on a 8/6 roster.
Work Rights
Applicants must have full rights to live and work in Australia to be considered for this position.
Preference will be given to candidates currently living in Perth or the Goldfields.
