About the role
Nova Systems is expanding its support to the Guided Weapons and Explosive Ordnance (GWEO) Integrated Workforce Program within the Australian Department of Defence and CASG.
We are seeking experienced professionals with GWEO domain knowledge to support the delivery of this national priority capability.
These roles form part of Nova's growing GWEO portfolio, working alongside Defence and industry partners to strengthen Australia's sovereign guided weapons and explosive ordnance capability.
We currently have multiple permanent opportunities across key disciplines:Explosive Ordnance (EO) Engineers at various levelsCyber Engineers at senior levelsIntegrated Logistics Support (ILS) Consultants, Engineers and PractitionersProject Managers with Defence acquisition and sustainment experienceThis is an opportunity to contribute to complex, high-impact programs in a technically demanding and highly regulated environment.
What you will be involved with
You will support CASG and Defence programs focused on guided weapons and explosive ordnance capability, contributing to the planning, delivery and sustainment of critical systems.
Depending on your discipline, your work will include:Supporting acquisition and sustainment activities across GWEO programsWorking within Defence governance and assurance frameworksEngaging with APS stakeholders, ADF users and Defence Prime contractorsContributing to the uplift of engineering, logistics and project delivery maturity across the portfolioHelping shape Australia's sovereign guided weapons and explosive ordnance capabilityWhat we are looking for
We are seeking professionals with Defence or closely aligned experience who can work confidently in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
Explosive Ordnance (EO) Engineers
You will bring experience in one or more of the following areas:Recognised engineering degree by Engineers AustraliaWeapons engineering, warheads, fuzes, energetics and explosive materialsGuided and non-guided weapons systems, rockets, missiles or munitionsExperience within Explosive Materiel Branch, GWEO Delivery Division or CASG engineering teamsTest and evaluation, technical investigations and Safety and Suitability for Service activitiesConfiguration management and technical data management for EO systemsProject Managers
You will bring:Recognised project management qualifications or accreditationsExperience managing multidisciplinary delivery teams within CASG or GWEO environmentsStrong stakeholder engagement across Defence Primes, APS and technical teamsSchedule management, cost control,



and risk and issue management capabilityExperience delivering projects through the One Defence Capability System from Gate 0 through to FOC Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Consultants
You will bring experience in:Development of ILS artefacts including ILS Plans, LORA, RAM, provisioning and CDRLsSupport system definition and sustainment strategies for guided weapons and explosive ordnanceMILIS or SAP, configuration management and through-life capability managementStakeholder engagement across APS, ADF users, engineering teams and industry partnersYou must be an Australian citizen and hold an existing Defence security clearance for these roles.
