Boundary Island Brewery is a waterfront craft brewery situated on the stunning Mandurah Estuary.
With a relaxed and fun culture, we offer a seasonally inspired Modern Australian menu using fresh, local produce.

Our kitchen team continues to be the heart and soul of our venue.
We are looking for a vibrant, innovative and fun individual to join our team.
You will be working alongside our experienced team of chefs whilst taking responsibility and ownership of your assigned kitchen section.
Your role will be to produce exceptional food as part of a team of up to 12 chefs, as well as ensure all OHS standards are met and assist in all areas of preparation.
You will also be required to show leadership and assist with the supervison of kitchen juniors.
Open 7 days a week, the Boundary Island Brewery is a destination venue and includes a sky deck overlooking a small marina, stunning indoor fireplace and outdoor open wood fireplace, brand new Texan offset Smoker, separate pizza kitchen with a state-of-the-art pizza oven, balcony for long lunches, relaxed undercover alfresco area and more.

We are looking for multiple Chefs to Join our team:
Responsibilities and Duties:
1.
Menu Execution Excellence:
Have a full awareness of menu items, recipes, methods of productions and presentation to ensure they are executed flawlessly, ensuring consistency, quality, and adherence to standards.
2.
Kitchen Operations Oversight:
Take charge of daily operations of your section, overseeing food preparation, cooking, and plating to ensure timely service and exceptional food quality.
3.
Team Leadership and Development:
Lead by example and provide guidance to junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive work environment and encouraging teamwork.
4.
Inventory and Procurement Management:
Assist in managing kitchen inventory levels and monitoring stock levels for your section.
Stay on top of par and prep levels to ensure smooth service and readiness across shifts.
5.
Quality Control and Standards Maintenance
: Maintain strict standards of food quality and presentation, conducting regular inspections and addressing any deviations promptly to uphold our culinary reputation.
6.
Safety and Hygiene Compliance:
Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and kitchen hygiene standards, maintaining a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
Enforce proper sanitation practices and report any equipment maintenance to supervisors.
7.
Customer Satisfaction Focus:
Work closely with management to ensure guest satisfaction, accommodating special requests, speed of service and addressing any concerns promptly and professionally.
8.
Adherence to Policies and Procedures:
Uphold company policies, procedures, and kitchen protocols, including health and safety guidelines.
Requirements:
Cert III in Kitchen Management or relevant commercial cookery qualification
Minimum of 2 years experience in a previous role within a similar environment
Strong work ethic and proven ability to manage your section in a fast paced environment
Reliable form of transportation
Demonstrated passion for high quality food and up-to-date knowledge of food trends
High attention to detail, particularly regarding food presentation and quality control
Experience working in busy team, including supervising staff
Ability to develop strong working relationships with suppliers, staff and stakeholders
Usual hospitality hours apply (working weekends, evenings and public holidays)
Qualifications & experience
This is a full-time position with a regular 38 hour work week.
