About the role:
An exciting opportunity exists for a Civil Engineer / Project Engineer to join our high-performing Network team based in Sarina.
Working across a diverse portfolio of rail infrastructure projects, you will provide technical engineering expertise to support the planning, design, delivery, maintenance and continuous improvement of civil assets across the network.
Key responsibilities include:
Provide engineering support for the design, construction, maintenance and renewal of civil infrastructure assets.
Develop and review engineering solutions, ensuring compliance with relevant standards, specifications, legislation and business requirements.
Conduct technical assessments, investigations and engineering reviews to support asset performance and reliability.
Assist with project planning, scoping, scheduling and delivery activities across a range of capital and maintenance projects.
Monitor asset condition and identify opportunities to improve safety, reliability and whole-of-life asset performance.
Prepare and review technical reports, engineering documentation, risk assessments and quality assurance records.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, contractors and service providers to achieve project and operational objectives.
Provide in office engineering support and supervision as required to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and to specification.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and the implementation of innovative engineering solutions.
To be successful in this role,



you will have a strong civil engineering background with experience across infrastructure, maintenance, construction or project delivery environments.
Tertiary Qualification in Civil Engineering
Engineering experience associated with the rail environment.
RPEQ preferred or ability to obtain.
Ability to take decisive action under extreme pressure.
Ability to prioritise activities and practice positive time management.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
Proven commitment to safety with a focus on quality
