The Role
An opportunity has become available for several Nurse Practitioner's (Emergency) to join
Gold Coast Health
(GCH) where the focus of our ******-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
Provide direct patient management including assessment, treatment, diagnosis and discharge for patient groups in the Emergency Department
Contribute to achieving Emergency Department Key Performance Indicator (KPI) targets and ensuring quality care aligns with evidence-based practice
Contribute to the Emergency Department's strategic ambitions and actively participate in Quality Improvement, Risk Management, Peer Review, Performance and Morbidity and Mortality Meetings
Coach, develop and mentor nursing staff, future nursing leaders and nurse practitioner trainees by fostering a culture of continuous learning and research to improve clinical outcome
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
Permanent Full Time or Permanent Part Time (one full time position and one part time position, 48 and 76 hours per fortnight)
Base salary ranging from $157,579 - $164,519 per annum or $***** - $***** per hour
About Us
The Robina Emergency Department (ED) is located within the Division of Emergency Care Services (ECS).
The Division nurtures productive relationships with colleagues through pre-hospital care, primary care, private hospitals, Non-Government Organisations, Residential Aged Care Facilities and community organisations.
The EDs at both Gold Coast University Hospital (GCUH) and Robina Hospital provide emergency care for over 160,000 patients per year.
GCUH provides Level 6 tertiary level emergency care and Robina Hospital provides Level 4 services under the Clinical Services Capability Framework (CSCF).
