Scotford Fennessy are partnering with a leading gold mining operation in Western Australia to recruit an experienced Lubrication Technician to join their Fixed Plant Maintenance team.
This is an initial 3-month contract with strong potential to secure a permanent position for the right person.
For trade-qualified Mechanical Fitters, there may also be future opportunities to transition into the site's Mechanical Maintenance team.
Working across a busy gold processing plant, you'll play a key role in maintaining the reliability and performance of critical fixed plant assets through planned lubrication, inspections and preventative maintenance.

About the Role Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:
Carrying out scheduled lubrication activities across fixed plant equipment
Completing oil changes, greasing and oil sampling
Inspecting equipment for contamination, leaks and abnormal wear
Maintaining automatic lubrication systems
Identifying potential mechanical issues during routine inspections
Supporting preventative maintenance programs to maximise equipment reliability
Recording maintenance activities within the site's CMMS
Working closely with Mechanical Fitters and Reliability personnel
Maintaining high safety and housekeeping standards
Equipment You'll Be Working On Experience working on fixed plant assets such as the following is highly regarded:
Crushers
Conveyors
Pumps
SAG & Ball Mills
Screens
Feeders
Thickeners
Agitators
Gearboxes
Rotating equipment
About You
To be successful, you'll ideally have:
Previous experience as a Lubrication Technician within mining, mineral processing or heavy industry
Experience working across a variety of fixed plant assets
Strong understanding of lubrication practices, contamination control and preventative maintenance
Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to safety
Current Australian Driver's Licence
Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen
Highly Regarded
Gold processing experience
SAP, Pronto or similar CMMS experience
Working at Heights & Confined Space
Forklift or High Risk Work Licence
ICML or other lubrication-related certification
