Job Description
We're looking for an Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary clinical team to help create meaningful change in people's lives.
SAL Consulting is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team in the Northern Territory, based in Darwin.
This is more than a clinical role.
Alongside a diverse and rewarding caseload, you'll contribute to multidisciplinary practice and work with individuals, families and service systems to create meaningful and lasting change.
From functional capacity assessments and home modifications to sensory profiling, complex disability, mental health, early intervention and forensic practice, Occupational Therapists at SAL have opportunities to work across an unusually broad range of practice areas while being supported to develop their own areas of interest.

What You'll Be Doing
You'll combine direct clinical work with assessment, intervention, consultation and multidisciplinary collaboration.
Your Work Will Include
Delivering high-quality Occupational Therapy services across community, clinic, school and telehealth settingsProviding assessment, intervention and consultation services to people with diverse and often complex needsSupporting individuals, families, carers and support teams to achieve meaningful outcomesCollaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support holistic and person-centred outcomes

Based in Darwin, you'll have opportunities to work across urban, regional and remote settings, including remote Indigenous communities.
There is also flexibility to work from home for administration and report writing.

Mandatory Requirements
Desired Skills and Experience
Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalentUnconditional General Registration with AHPRAUnrestricted Australian working rightsCurrent Australian Driver's LicenceCurrent Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening, or the ability to obtain these prior to commencement
Essential Experience
Experience working within at least one relevant funding environment (e.g. NDIS, education, child protection, health, justice or related sectors)
Highly Regarded
Experience in working with people with intellectual disability, trauma histories and complex support needsExperience in areas such as functional capacity assessments, sensory profiling, cognitive assessments, home and living assessments, equipment prescription and home modificationsExperience working collaboratively with families, support networks and multidisciplinary teams to achieve outcomes in everyday environments
