Become the psychologist you hoped you would be.
At Seedling Clinical Psychology, we believe great clinicians aren't simply born through experience.
They're nurtured through exceptional supervision, ongoing learning, and thoughtful reflection.
We're looking for a psychologist who is passionate about understanding children and families beyond symptoms.
Someone who is curious about development, relationships and the emotional meaning beneath behaviour, and who wants to grow within a team that genuinely invests in its clinicians.
About Seedling
Seedling Clinical Psychology is a boutique specialist child and family psychology practice supporting infants, children, adolescents, young adults and their families across Perth and the South West.
Our work is grounded in developmental science, attachment theory and evidence-based practice.
We provide therapy, assessment and parent work across a broad range of presentations including anxiety, emotional regulation, neurodevelopmental differences, trauma, eating disorders, perinatal and infant mental health, parenting and family relationships.
Learning is embedded into everything we do.
Our psychologists undertake extensive professional development beyond their university training, with regular supervision and consultation from internationally recognised leaders in child and family mental health.
What makes Seedling different?
We are committed to developing exceptional child and family psychologists.
As part of our team you will receive ongoing training and supervision in areas including:
Child development and attachment
Child and adolescent assessment
Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP)
Mentalization-Based Treatment for Children and Adolescents (MBT-C & MBT-A)
Story Stem Assessment Profile
Lighthouse Parenting
Infant and perinatal mental health
Family systems and parent work
Psychodynamic and developmental formulation
Our team receives regular consultation from internationally recognised experts, alongside structured individual and group supervision, case discussion and professional development.
This is an opportunity to continually grow your clinical thinking—not simply manage a caseload.
About the role
You'll work primarily with children, adolescents and families, providing:
Individual therapy
Parent consultations
Family sessions
School liaison
Comprehensive psychological assessments
Collaborative work with paediatricians, GPs and allied health professionals
You'll be supported to develop areas of clinical interest while working within a warm, collaborative and highly reflective multidisciplinary team.
About you
We're looking for someone who:
Is a registered Psychologist with AHPRA (or eligible for registration)
Enjoys working with children, adolescents and families
Values relationships as central to therapeutic change
Is curious, reflective and committed to lifelong learning
Enjoys working collaboratively within a supportive team
Wants to become an outstanding clinician rather than simply carry a caseload
Clinical Psychology Registrars are warmly encouraged to apply.
What we offer
Competitive remuneration
Flexible working arrangements
Beautiful consulting rooms
Full administrative support
Structured supervision and mentoring
Extensive career development
Access to internationally recognised supervisors and trainers
Opportunities to develop specialist areas of practice
A genuinely supportive and values-driven team culture
Our values
At Seedling, we believe children grow within relationships.
We work with curiosity before judgement, connection before correction, and understanding before intervention.
We are passionate about helping families make sense of their experiences and supporting lasting emotional growth through thoughtful, relationship-based care.
If this sounds like the kind of practice you've been searching for, we'd love to hear from you.
Apply via SEEK with your CV and a cover letter telling us what draws you to working with children and families.
