Our Young People
Young people come from diverse backgrounds and often face a significant and complex range of educational, social, developmental, environmental, psychological, health, legal barriers to learning which require unique interventions.

The Role
The People and Culture Business Partner (Regional) is responsible for partnering with line managers to deliver an effective and impactful service on a variety of people matters, across the employee lifecycle.
This includes workforce planning,



recruitment, onboarding and induction, employee relations, performance and learning, engagement and change programs.
This role provides dedicated support to our regional campuses in Geelong, Colac and Ballarat, with regular travel to our four regional campuses and our Melbourne Central Office.
We are seeking an experienced People and Culture professional with strong employee relations expertise who enjoys building trusted relationships with leaders and providing practical, solution-focused advice.
The role also offers the flexibility to work from home 1–2 days per week, depending on operational requirements.
You will be employed on a fixed-term basis for 2 years, commencing as soon as practically possible, and will be employed under the Catholic Education Multi Enterprise Agreement ****.
Classification for the role is a Category A ESS Level 5 with a salary range of $111,535 to $123,125 (depending on education and experience).
You will need
Ability to commit to and work within our Operating Principles; Respect, Participation, Safe and Legal and Honesty
Relevant Tertiary Qualifications in HR Management and/or similar discipline or equivalent education and experience.
Ability to obtain a Working with Children Check and provide a National Police Check certificate (issued within the last six months)
3 years of experience in a similar role.
Demonstrated experience working across a variety of generalist HR activities, including recruitment, employee relations, safety, remuneration, learning and development, whilst also working with external providers.
Proven track-record operating within a business partner model, providing logical and sound advice to stakeholders.
Experience working in a changing and growing organisation.
Previous experience within the education sector is desirable.
Highly motivated and ethical operator.
Ability to deliver innovative solutions that are tailored to the needs of the workplace.




Strong work ethic with attention to detail, with a data driven and evidence-based approach.
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to distil and contextualise information.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to demonstrate empathy, build strong stakeholder relationships and collaborate effectively with others.
Agile with the ability to adapt to a changing and fast paced environment.
