Introduction
Kiind is a family-led, independent peer support organisation with almost 40 years of operation.
We support 7,000+ Western Australian families raising children living with disability, autism and developmental concerns.
Based at Perth Children's Hospital, our experienced Peer Navigators have extensive knowledge of the health, disability and education systems and help families to find the answers they're looking for to best support the needs of their child.
We have a range of information resources to help with this and we also connect families to one another.
Through active systemic advocacy, we take purposeful-action help decision-makers to understand the experience of children with disability and their families.
Position overview
We're looking for a Marketing and Communications Coordinator who is passionate about community engagement and has a talent for creating compelling, results-driven communications.
You'll play a key role in increasing awareness of Kiind's services and impact, and support the journey of families raising children with disability across Western Australia.
Key responsibilities
Development and implementation of cross-platform communications campaigns to promote Kiind's services to our members and stakeholders.
Development and management of the What's On activity and event guide and other eDM campaigns.
Social media management and content creation across Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn.
Content management and optimisation of Kiind's website.
Development of information resources in a variety of print and digital formats, such as fact sheets, blog posts and short-form video.
Coordination and production of the Kiind Conversations podcast, including recording and editing.




Supporting the Communications Manager and other duties as required.
What you'll need to succeed
A tertiary qualification in communications or marketing.
Minimum of two years' professional experience in a similar role.
The ability to understand and address the experiences of families raising children
with sensitivity and empathy.
Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
Demonstrated skills in photography, video production and graphic design.
Proficiency using WordPress (or similar CMS), the Adobe Suite, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
