About the Role
We are seeking an organised, customer-focused and proactive Uniform Shop Coordinator to lead the daily operations of our School Uniform Shop in an ongoing position.
As the first point of contact for many families, the Uniform Shop Coordinator plays an important role in delivering a positive customer experience while ensuring students are appropriately fitted and equipped with the required uniform items.
Working closely with students, families, suppliers, volunteers and School staff, the successful candidate will ensure the Uniform Shop operates professionally, efficiently and in alignment with the School's standards and brand presentation.
The role is responsible for the overall commercial and operational management of the Uniform Shop, including inventory planning, purchasing, supplier relationships, pricing, budgeting, financial reporting and stock control, while ensuring a high standard of customer service and support for families across the School community.
This is a varied role that combines customer service, retail operations, inventory management, purchasing, data administration and stakeholder engagement.
The Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining accurate stock levels, forecasting future requirements, coordinating uniform fittings for new and existing students, supporting online ordering processes and ensuring the shop is well-presented and fully operational throughout the year.
Attendance during peak trading periods, student orientation activities and key enrolment events is required.
The position also includes work during selected school holiday periods to undertake stock management, uniform fittings, supplier coordination, annual stocktakes and preparation for the commencement of each school term.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the day-to-day operation of the School Uniform Shop, ensuring a professional, welcoming and efficient service for all customers.
Deliver exceptional customer service to students, families, staff and other members of the School community.
Manage inventory levels, stock movement and product data through the School's retail management system Shopify.




Forecast stock requirements and coordinate the timely ordering and replenishment of uniform items.
Process supplier orders and reconcile deliveries, invoices and inventory records.
Maintain accurate product pricing, stock information and sales records.
Conduct regular stocktakes and oversee the annual inventory audit process.
Coordinate the sale, receipting and administration of second-hand uniform items.
Manage uniform requirements for recent student enrolments, including fittings and onboarding support for families.
Organise fittings for blazers and other specialised uniform items.
Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers to ensure product quality, availability and value for money.
Coordinate embroidery services and oversee the delivery of customised uniform products.
Recruit, train, coordinate and support Uniform Shop staff and volunteers.
Reconcile daily sales transactions and maintain accurate financial records.
Monitor sales performance, analyse trends and provide recommendations regarding stock levels and purchasing decisions.
Prepare reports and maintain accurate operational and financial records.
Work collaboratively with families, School staff and external suppliers to support the needs of the School community.
Assist with peak trading periods, holiday trading, stock preparation and commencement-of-term activities.
Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes and the overall customer experience within the Uniform Shop.
Undertake other duties as reasonably directed by the Business Manager and/or Principal.

The successful candidate will:
Demonstrated experience in retail operations, inventory management, customer service or a similar customer-facing role.
Well-developed administrative skills,



including the ability to maintain accurate records and manage multiple priorities.
Experience using retail, inventory management or point-of-sale systems; Shopify experience will be highly regarded.
Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to work effectively in a busy environment.
High level of attention to detail and accuracy in stock, financial and administrative processes.
Proven ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, families, staff, suppliers and volunteers.
A genuine commitment to delivering high-quality customer service and creating a positive experience for families.
Sound problem-solving skills and the ability to exercise initiative and judgement.
Confidence in analysing sales and inventory data to support purchasing and stock management decisions.
A current Working with Children Check.
A current National Police Clearance.
A current C Class Driver's Licence.
