ABOUT THE ROLE:
Senior Leading Hand - Mechanical Workshop
Full time position
Pinjarra workshop based
8/6 Roster - Home every night
Super paid on all hours worked
Role duties may include, but are not limited to;
Lead and coordinate tradespeople completing rebuilds, ensuring high-quality maintenance and repairs on Sandvik, Epiroc and Normet underground equipment.
Take ownership of machine rebuilds from strip through to final QA/QC sign-off and customer delivery.
Plan and prioritise daily workshop activities to achieve build schedules, quality standards, and customer deadlines.
Mentor, coach, and develop workshop personnel, promoting a safe, accountable, and high-performing team culture.
Liaise with supervisors, planners, and client representatives to coordinate work and resolve technical issues efficiently.
Drive the QA/QC process, ensuring inspections, testing and documentation meet OEM and company standards.
Support fault finding, preventative maintenance and complex mechanical repairs across a diverse range of mining equipment.
Manage subcontractors, work orders, maintenance records, and parts documentation while ensuring procedural compliance.
Champion continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring workshop tooling, equipment and work practices remain safe and efficient.
Successful applicants must have:
Relevant Trade Qualification/s
Proven experience in a Leading Hand role
Experience on Underground or Surface Machinery
Current Manual Driver's License (HR preferred)
Full Australian working rights
National Police Clearance
