About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented
Service & Minor Works Estimator
to join our HVAC&R; team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate service and maintenance quotations, assessing customer requirements, and supporting the delivery of profitable HVAC&R; minor projects and service work.
This role requires strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work closely with clients, technicians, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare accurate estimates and quotations for HVAC&R; service, maintenance, repairs, and small projects.
Review customer requests, site reports, and technical documentation.
Conduct site visits when required to assess project scope and requirements.
Source pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.
Analyse labour, materials, equipment, and overhead costs.
Prepare proposals, scopes of work, and tender submissions.
Liaise with clients to clarify requirements and provide technical advice.
Work closely with Service Managers and Technicians to ensure accurate pricing and project handover.
Maintain estimating records and job costing information.
Ability to carry out tender requests from clients and management, for service works.




Identify opportunities for additional services and business growth.
Skills & Experience
Proven experience in estimating within the HVAC&R; industry.
Strong understanding of commercial and industrial HVAC&R; systems.
Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and technical drawings.
Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and estimating software.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Qualifications
Trade qualification in Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, Mechanical Services, or related field preferred.
Relevant estimating, engineering, or project management experience.
Current driver's licence.
