From Town assets maintenance, environment and parks, to
technical services, waste, major infrastructure delivery and

Your new role
The Strategic Waste Coordinator is responsible for coordinating
the delivery, performance and continuous improvement of the Town's
waste management services, programs and initiatives.
The role




provides specialist advice, manages key contracts and projects, and
works collaboratively with stakeholders to achieve waste
minimisation, resource recovery and sustainability outcomes.
The
position plays a key role in ensuring legislative compliance,
promoting best practice, and supporting the implementation of the
Town's strategic waste management objectives.
Contract management and service performance oversight.
Waste collection, recycling and resource recovery service
coordination.
Waste minimisation, circular economy and behaviour change
initiatives.
Community education, engagement and stakeholder
liaison.
Compliance, governance and legislative reporting.
Waste data analysis, strategic planning and continuous
improvement.
Project coordination and delivery of waste infrastructure
initiatives.
Key responsibilities include
Coordinate and support the delivery of waste,
sustainability and environmental services, contributing to team
performance and organisational outcomes.
Coordinate and support the delivery of team objectives,
contributing to positive engagement, capability development,
and performance outcomes.
Assist with the efficient day-to-day administration of
operations, ensuring effective use of resources and timely
service delivery.
Monitor activities, manage competing priorities, and
support the achievement of organisational and operational
goals.
Build and maintain positive working relationships with
internal stakeholders, customers, and external partners.
Identify and recommend opportunities for process
improvements, contributing to enhanced efficiency,
effectiveness, and service outcomes.
Support the implementation of change initiatives and
continuous improvement activities across the organisation.

What you'll need to succeed

Significant experience leading waste management or related
operations, with demonstrated expertise in contract management,
procurement and contractor performance oversight.
Proven leadership and people management capability.
