Workshop Supervisor - Snare Fabrications Pty Ltd
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Workshop Supervisor to lead our busy fabrication workshop.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader with a strong background in structural steel and metal fabrication to work for a company established over 55 years.
The successful applicant will oversee the daily workshop operations, supervise tradespeople and apprentices, coordinate production schedules, and ensure all work is completed to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:-
· Work as part of a team to supervise and coordinate daily fabrication workshop activities.
· Lead, mentor, and manage a team of fabricators (boilermakers), welders, and apprentices.
· Ensure production targets and project deadlines are achieved.
· Capable of reading and understanding both steel fabrication drawings and weld procedures and traceability.
· Maintain quality controls and ensure compliance with Australia standards ISO ****.
· Maintain a safe working setting and enforce Workplace Health & safety (WHS) procedures.
· Coordinate material, equipment, and labour to maximise productivity.
· Liaise with project managers, clients, and suppliers as required.
Essential Requirements: -

Minimum 5 Years' experience
as a Workshop Supervisor in a Steel Fabrication Shop.
· Trade qualification in Fabrication, Engineering, Boilermaking, or a related field.
· Strong knowledge of structural steel fabrication, welding, and assembly processes.
· Ability to interpret engineering drawings and fabrication plans.
· Current Driver Licence.
· Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
· Maintain in-process/final inspection records for QA and production controls prior to the release of goods.
Standard hours 7.00am – 3.30pm Monday to Friday with regular overtime required to be worked.
We will offer competitive hourly rate + OT rates.
