About the Role
Yilli Rreung is seeking an experienced and motivated
HR Manager
to lead the organisation's human resources function.
This leadership role is responsible for developing and implementing strategic HR initiatives while providing expert advice across the employee lifecycle.
The HR Manager will partner with leaders to foster a high-performing, engaged and values-driven workforce.
This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with employment legislation, managing employee relations, leading recruitment and workforce planning, and driving continuous improvement across HR systems, policies and practices.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR professional who enjoys both strategic and operational responsibilities and is passionate about supporting Aboriginal organisations and communities.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the delivery of all human resource functions across the organisation.
Provide strategic and operational HR advice to the CEO and Executives.
Develop, review and implement HR policies, procedures and workforce strategies.




Manage end-to-end recruitment, onboarding and probation processes.
Oversee employee relations matters including performance management, disciplinary processes, investigations and grievance resolution.
Ensure compliance with the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards, Awards, WHS legislation and other employment obligations.
Coordinate organisational workforce planning, succession planning and talent management.
Support managers with employee development, coaching and leadership capability.
Lead remuneration, classification and employment contract processes.
Manage HR reporting, workforce analytics and compliance reporting.
Maintain confidential employee records and oversee HR information systems.
Coordinate learning and development initiatives and organisational training.
Promote employee wellbeing, engagement and a positive workplace culture.
Support organisational change initiatives, restructures and continuous improvement projects.
Foster culturally safe and inclusive workplace practices that align with Yilli Rreung's values.
About You
You are an experienced HR professional with strong employment relations knowledge and the ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of an organisation.
You will possess:
Qualifications in Human Resources, Business, Employment Relations or a related discipline.
Demonstrated experience in a Human Resources Manager or senior HR advisory role.




Sound knowledge of the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards, Modern Awards and employment legislation.
Experience managing complex employee relations matters, investigations and performance management.
Strong recruitment, workforce planning and organisational development experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Highly developed interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
High levels of professionalism, integrity and confidentiality.
Experience developing HR policies and improving organisational systems.
Advanced Microsoft Office skills and experience with HR information systems.
Understanding of, or commitment to working within, Aboriginal community-controlled organisations and culturally safe workplaces.
Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
Current Northern Territory Driver Licence.
