We are seeking a
Medical Receptionist
to join the team at Lagoon Medical Centre Yanchep on a
casual basis
.

As a Medical Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for patients through our GP clinic & urgent care clinic, playing a vital role in ensuring smooth operations and delivering exceptional patient experiences.
This position is fundamental to the functioning of our medical practice, helping to create a welcoming and organised environment where patients feel valued and cared for.
What you'll be doing
Greeting patients warmly and professionally upon arrival at the clinic
Managing patient check-in & check-out procedures for urgent care & GP clinics
Scheduling and confirming patient appointments
Answering incoming calls and managing patient enquiries
Processing patient payments accurately
Maintaining patient confidentiality and ensuring compliance with privacy regulations
Maintaining an organised reception area and keeping patient records up to date
Assisting with administrative tasks
Supporting the medical team
Handling patient enquiries
What we're looking for
Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar healthcare administrative role preferable
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with patients and staff
Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Previous experience with Best Practice Software preferable, but not essential




Knowledge of medical terminology and understanding of healthcare practices
A patient-focused approach with genuine empathy and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service
Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and understand privacy and data protection requirements
Reliability and flexibility, with the ability to work in a casual capacity as required
Professional appearance and excellent interpersonal skills
Preferably, certification or training in medical administration or reception
