The role works closely with researchers, project teams and stakeholders to translate research requirements into robust, sustainable software and technical workflows.
This includes developing and maintaining research software, supporting data integration, and contributing to reproducible and scalable research practices.
The successful candidate will have:
Demonstrated experience in software development (e.g. Python, R, JavaScript or similar)
Experience working with research data, digital tools, or computational workflows
Solid problem-solving skills and the ability to translate user needs into technical solutions
Experience working collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to engage with non-technical stakeholders
An understanding of reproducible research practices, version control, and software sustainability
The ideal candidate is adaptable, user-focused, and motivated to support research impact through technology.
