Asphaltech are seeking an experienced and dedicated full-time permanent
Asphalt Control Room / Loader Operator
to join our team at our asphalt plant in Malaga.

For the right candidate training will be provided.
You will be responsible for operating a computer-controlled asphalt plant, ensuring high-quality mix production is carted to various projects throughout WA.
Asphaltech currently have a mobile plant and two fixed plants, one in Malaga and the other in Picton.
During your employment there will be a requirement to operate all three plants (mobile and fixed).
When operating the loader, you will be responsible for loading the correct raw materials into the bins for the production of asphalt without contamination, keeping the work area clean and the bins topped up throughout the day.
This position requires you to communicate with a two-way radio, excellent communication skills are required.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate the asphalt plant, including pre-start checks, warm-up procedures, and production of compliant asphalt mixes.
Ensure the accurate batching of ingredients to produce asphalt mixes within the specification requirements.
Ordering and scheduling of raw materials.
Execute the production schedule, ensuring timely and accurate asphalt mix output.
Manage asphalt and aggregate cartage trucks for efficient operations.
Communicate effectively with asphalt crews and external customers.
Attend to scheduled and unexpected plant maintenance and breakdowns.
Work closely with Laboratory Technicians and take asphalt samples when required.
Maintain detailed reports on material usage, waste control, environmental logs, and plant inspections.
Operate the loader and ensure raw material is loaded without contamination
Ensure the raw material is topped up throughout the day and left full at the end of each day.
Participate in monthly workplace inspections and maintain general housekeeping.
Perform manual labour when required.
Ensure the work area is always kept clean, tidy and secure throughout the day.
Skills & Experience:
Licences and Certificates:
Valid Driver's Licence.
Construction Induction White Card.
Loader ticket.
High Risk Licence LF will be highly regarded
.
Experience:
Experience working in a similar position will be highly regarded.
Experience working with asphalt plant equipment.
Experience working in a control room environment.
Experience as a Loader Operator in asphalt production.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of
Asphalt Plant Operations or be able to learn
.
Mechanically minded with problem-solving skills.
Ability to operate a forklift and loader will be highly regarded.
Ability to work safely following company procedures.
Willingness to work early mornings, weekends, and night shifts.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Physically fit for manual labour.
