The Wombat Hotel is a vibrant, community-focused venue offering a busy bar, buys bistro, gaming lounge, and quality customer experience.
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and responsible
Duty Manager
to join our team and help lead day-to-day operations across our bar and gaming areas.
About the Role
As a Duty Manager, you will play a key leadership role in ensuring the smooth, safe, and productive running of the venue.
You will support staff, uphold service standards, and provide a welcoming experience for all guests.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations across bar, gaming, and customer service areas
Lead and support staff to deliver exceptional service
Manage cash handling, reconciliations, and compliance requirements
Maintain a safe environment in line with policies and licensing obligations
Resolve customer queries and issues professionally
Assist with stock control, ordering, and general venue presentation
What We're Looking For
Current RSA & RP
(or willingness to obtain immediately)
RSG preferred
but candidates willing to complete certification will be considered
Experience in a bar, gaming or pub environment (management experience highly regarded)
Strong leadership skills with an ability to motivate and guide a team
Reliable, professional, and committed to excellent customer service
Availability to work a rotating roster including nights and weekends
