What is our Registered
Nurse role?
This position, under the direction of the relevant Senior
Registered Nurse(s), practises as a Registered Nurse in keeping
with the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Board Registration
Standards and Nursing Practice Decision Flowchart; provides
comprehensive evidence-based nursing care to patients as part of a
multidisciplinary team; upholds and functions within the core
values of the organisation and nursing values of Care, Respect,
Innovation, Teamwork & Integrity.
Additionally the position participates in cross campus Sir
Charles Gairdner Hospital (SCGH) and Fiona Stanley Hospital
(FSH) and on call duties at SCGH; undertakes clinical shifts at the
direction of senior staff including participation on the
on-call/after hours/weekend roster when required; demonstrates
relevant clinical skills, experience and assistance in complex
neuroangiography and neurointerventional procedures including
stroke rescue.
Neurological Intervention & Imaging Service of WA (NIISwa) is
the statewide, cross-campus neurointerventional and advanced
neuroimaging service of Western Australia.
We are the first
specialist neuroradiology department established in Australasia,
and serve the entire Western Australian population of approximately
2.6 million people.
We provide in-patient care and clinic out-patient services for
treatment of vascular disease of the brain, head, neck and spine.
These include brain aneurysms, vascular malformations, carotid
disease and interventional stroke therapy.

Eligibility to Apply:

Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the
above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other "similar"

Both of these options remain valid for a period
of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses
the recruitment decision.
