RACT

Hobart

With more than 218,000 members, we've been part of the Tasmanian community for over 100 years – we're Tasmania's shoulder to lean on and voice when it matters.
Our values guide everything we do: Engage with Heart, Unleash Potential, Walk the Talk and Together we Thrive.
As the state's number one brand, we support our members by helping them enjoy life, giving them a helping hand, and making their money go further.
As RACT continues to transform and create greater value for Tasmanians, we're looking for a Business Analyst to join our Business Optimisation team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our Roadside Product System, which is one of RACT's key strategic initiatives.
About the role
Reporting to the Manager Business Optimisation, you'll take ownership of the requirements lifecycle for the new Roadside Product System, partnering closely with stakeholders across the business to build a clear, shared understanding of how our roadside product offering works today, and a compelling, well-defined vision of how it should work in future.
You'll lead discovery interviews and requirement-gathering workshops to map current state product and process design end-to-end, then work collaboratively with subject matter experts, technical teams and project stakeholders to translate business needs into future state designs, functional specifications, user stories and acceptance criteria.
Your work will directly shape a system that supports how RACT designs, manages and evolves its roadside product offering to deliver ongoing value for members.
This hands-on role will suit someone who thrives on synthesising complexity into clarity, building strong relationships at all levels, and seeing a project through from early discovery to successful embedment.

Key responsibilities:
Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to elicit, document and analyse current state processes and pain points relating to the Roadside Product System.
Facilitate discovery workshops and stakeholder interviews to build a comprehensive understanding of business needs and objectives.
Develop future state process maps, workflows and business process models (BPMN) that clearly communicate the target operating model.
Translate business requirements into functional specifications, epics, user stories and acceptance criteria to guide development and implementation.
Work closely with technical developers and key stakeholders to define technical requirements and ensure smooth, well-tested implementation.
Conduct feasibility studies, impact assessments and risk analysis to evaluate proposed solutions.
Develop clear reports, presentations and documentation to communicate findings, recommendations and progress to stakeholders at all levels.
Support the project through to completion and business embedment.
What you'll bring:
Demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst on transformation, digital and/or system implementation projects.
Strong experience in BPMN and requirements documentation (epics, user stories and acceptance criteria).
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and BA tools such as Visio, Lucidchart, Jira and Confluence.
An analytical,

structured mindset with a genuine passion for problem-solving.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesise complex information for different audiences.
Experience in financial services, insurance or another regulated industry is highly regarded.
At RACT, we're not just a workplace – we're a community.
When you join our team, you become part of something bigger.
Your ideas and the work you do will help shape our community and setting.
Why you'll love working with us:
Staff discounts:
Enjoy significant discounts on RACT home and car insurance, and free Ultimate Roadside Assistance.
Wellbeing leave
: Three days of Wellbeing Leave available per year that can be used however you wish.
