8–10 years experience · SaaS / ecommerce background preferred
What You Own
Product strategy — where we're going and why, tied to business outcomes
Roadmap and prioritisation — deciding what gets built, in what order
Discovery and spec — customer research, problem framing, and explicit briefs
Shipping — working directly with a small engineering team to get things out
Merchant experience — onboarding, activation, and ongoing product value
AI tooling is available and expected — we want you using it to move faster, not slower.
What Success Looks Like In your first 3 months
You've shipped features merchants actually use.
Activation is up.
You have a clear roadmap tied to retention outcomes, not a wishlist.
Engineers trust your specs and customers notice the difference.
Who This Is For
You're a product person who has shipped things that worked — and learned from things that didn't. You've been close to customers and close to engineers. You've made hard prioritisation calls with incomplete information.
You might have:
Been a PM or early product leader at a SaaS or ecommerce company
Worked on or around Shopify apps, merchant tools, or B2B SaaS
Owned activation, onboarding, or retention from a product lens
Operated in a product-led growth environment
Worked in a small team where you had to do more than manage the backlog
You are:
Outcome-driven — you care about retention and revenue, not feature count
Customer-obsessed — you talk to merchants regularly and it informs everything
Decisive — you make calls with 70% of the information and move forward
Collaborative — you work well with engineers, growth, and support
Energised by shipping, not planning
What This Is Not
A role where someone else does discovery and hands you requirements
A large team with dedicated designers, researchers, and PMs beneath you
A position with heavy process, long planning cycles, or lots of sign-off
Right for someone who prefers strategy decks over shipped features
Who You'll Work With
You'll work alongside a GM who owns the P&L.; You'll have a direct line to our Co-Founders — ex-Trade Gecko (acquired by Intuit) — for strategic input when you need it.
About Amp
We’re the agents for ecommerce. 45,000+ merchants use our suite of apps across analytics, retention, upselling, and re‑engagement — and we’re building the intelligence layer underneath it all, combining deep merchant data with AI agents that help brands grow profitably.
Amp is venture‑backed, genuinely AI‑native — in how we actually work, and growing fast. You’ll have real autonomy, direct access to founders, and the tools to move quickly. We’re small enough that your work has immediate impact, and ambitious enough that the ceiling is high.
We’re building something merchants depend on daily — and we’re only getting started.
