Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Experience Required
10+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, Data Operations, ETL/ELT Operations, Data Platform Support, Cloud Data Operations, and business facing analytics operations.
Role Summary
We are looking for an experienced BI / Data Operations Domain Manager to lead and manage enterprise‑scale BI, data warehouse, campaign, decisioning and data operations platforms. The role requires strong technical and managerial understanding of Teradata Data Warehouse, SAS DI, SAS CI, SAS RTDM, AWS Redshift, AWS Glue, Apache Airflow, DAG‑based orchestration, Qlik and related BI/data ecosystem components.
The candidate will be responsible for ensuring stability, reliability, availability, data freshness, orchestration health, SLA adherence and operational governance of business‑critical data platforms. The role requires strong business‑facing capability to work with stakeholders across technology, analytics, campaign, reporting and operations teams.
The role is especially suited for a senior data operations leader who can manage both legacy enterprise BI platforms such as Teradata/SAS/Qlik and modern cloud data platforms such as AWS Redshift, AWS Glue and Airflow‑based orchestration.
Telecom domain experience is highly desirable, especially with exposure to BSS/OSS, CRM, billing, campaign management, customer analytics, CDR, network, revenue, product and customer data. Existing internal references mention Teradata, SAS, RTDM and Qlik usage in telecom BI/data environments.
Key Responsibilities
BI & Data Operations Leadership
Lead end‑to‑end operations for BI, data warehouse, analytics, campaign and reporting platforms.
Manage daily, weekly and monthly operational cycles across ETL, ELT, batch, near‑real‑time, reporting, campaign and decisioning workloads.
Ensure production stability across ingestion pipelines, transformation jobs, data marts, dashboards, regulatory extracts and downstream data feeds.
Own operational readiness for new releases, source changes, data model changes, platform upgrades, migration activities and business‑critical deployments.
Provide leadership across L2/L3 support teams, data engineers, BI developers, SAS specialists, data analysts, cloud data engineers and operations teams.
Drive operational discipline across incident, problem, change, release, deployment, monitoring and stakeholder communication processes.
Telecom domain experience across BSS, OSS, CRM, billing, charging, campaign, customer, product, revenue or network datasets.
Experience in hybrid data environments involving legacy BI platforms and cloudnative data platforms.
Experience with AWS S3, Lambda, IAM, Cloud Watch, Step Functions or other AWS ecosystem services.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving ability.
Ability to lead teams across legacy BI, SAS, cloud data platforms and orchestration technologies.
Good understanding of critical KPIs, SLA commitments and data‑driven business processes.
Strong documentation, governance and process discipline.
Ability to drive automation, monitoring improvements and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Data Analytics or equivalent discipline.
10+ years of experience in BI, Data Warehousing, Data Operations, Data Platform Management or Cloud Data Operations.
Prior experience in telecom, banking, utilities or large enterprise data environments is preferred.
Experience managing production support teams or BI/Data operations teams is strongly preferred.
