Position Summary:

The Horse Float Assembly is responsible for the precise assembly of new horse float units and the expert servicing, repair, and maintenance of existing horse floats. This hands‐on role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to producing work of the highest standard for our equine and customer safety.

Assembly:

- Install axles, suspension systems, lighting, and wiring harnesses, etc.
- Fit interior fittings.
- Install and configure horse safety features
- Conduct pre-delivery inspections (PDI) on completed units to ensure they meet all quality, safety, and functional standards.
- Prepare floats for customer delivery, including final cleaning and detailing.

General Duties:

- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment.




- Operate and maintain tools, equipment, and machinery in good working order.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, especially when handling heavy components and working at height.
- Complete job documentation, service reports, and timesheets accurately and on time.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Proven experience in a similar role
- Strong mechanical and practical skills with proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and workshop machinery.
- Ability to weld (MIG) is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy items and work in various positions.
- A valid driver's license. A forklift license is a plus.
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Positive verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
