Stopping Family Violence (SFV) is a not-for-profit, focused on stopping violence against women and children through fostering relationships, advocacy, policy, research, and workforce development. Advancing and promoting best practices in perpetrator responses in Western Australia.

About the Role

The Specialist Perpetrator Practitioner & Project Officer leads specialist perpetrator engagement and key projects, while strengthening workforce capability through training, coaching and network development. The role manages projects from planning to delivery, including stakeholder engagement, research, reporting, advocacy and service improvement, to achieve high-quality outcomes and support best practice in family and domestic violence responses.

The role is available as either full time or part time 4 days (pro-rata) on a contract to 30/6/2027. Salary range is a level 5-6 SCHADS Award depending on experience.

Key Duties

- Managing multiple key projects, from coordinating consultations, working with key partners, IT, administration, review and reporting in line with grant conditions, budgets and deadlines.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary family and domestic violence (FDV) partners by participating in triage and Family and Domestic Violence Regional Team (FDVRT) meetings, reviewing referrals, and contributing to coordinated, place-based engagement, risk assessment and intervention work.
- Promote perpetrator accountability and victim-survivor safety by conducting perpetrator mapping, engaging with people using violence, assessing risk and support needs, applying FDV-informed practice, and facilitating referrals to specialist intervention and support services.
- Strengthen service outcomes through partnerships, reporting, and continuous improvement by building referral networks, collecting and analysing data, preparing case studies and client journey maps.
- Maintaining key stakeholder networks as well as representing and speaking and/or delivering education,



training and coaching on behalf of Stopping Family Violence.
- Drafting and preparing correspondence, presentations, submissions, reports and grant submissions where attention to detail and presentation are of high importance whilst organising project files and documentation with attention to detail following a systematic approach.

Selection Criteria

- Formal qualification and experience in social work, psychology, community services, or family and domestic violence;
- Experience in the family and domestic violence sector in the perpetrator intervention workforce or associated areas;
- Demonstrated performance within a team ensuring well-planned and well-executed projects;
- An understanding of the Western Australian family and domestic violence sector (required) and a keen interest to develop and learn more.

This position will be located onsite between the FDVRT location (tbc Perth metro) and Victoria Park. There may be a requirement to work from various locations as well as varied hours around Perth metropolitan and regional travel may form part of the role.
