About the role

Elements Eatery is seeking a talented Chef/Cook to join our kitchen team on a casual basis. Based in Rosebud VIC 3939, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced culinary qualified to contribute to our dynamic hospitality operation.

As a Chef/Cook, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences through the preparation and presentation of high-quality meals. This position offers flexibility and the chance to work in a fast-paced, creative kitchen environment where your culinary skills will be valued and developed.

Key responsibilities

- Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Maintain high standards of food quality, consistency and portion control
- Ensure all food items are stored, handled and prepared in accordance with food safety and hygiene regulations
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to meet service demands during peak periods
- Assist with menu preparation, food ordering and inventory management as required
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment in all areas of the kitchen
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including health and safety protocols
- Respond professionally to feedback and contribute to continuous improvement in kitchen operations

What we're looking for

- Relevant qualifications or formal training in hospitality, cookery or culinary arts
- Proven experience working in a professional kitchen workplace
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods and presentation standards
- Sound understanding of food safety, hygiene practices and allergen management




- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet service times consistently
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively
- Physical fitness and stamina to stand for extended periods and handle repetitive tasks
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality
- Flexibility and reliability, particularly for casual shift work
- A passion for food and hospitality with a genuine desire to deliver excellent customer experiences
