Job Description

We're looking for a Bar and Floor Manager who can lead service with confidence and bring real hospitality experience to the role. This is a part-time position running approximately 25 to 30 hours a week across Wednesday to Saturday, covering lunch and dinner services.

It's a four-day week with real structure and genuine scope to grow for the right person.

What the role looks like day to day

- Leading the floor during service and setting the tone for the team
- Running and supporting the bar, with a real hand in the wine program
- Managing bookings and event enquiries as they come in
- Overseeing stock, stocktake, and ordering so things keep running without running out
- Rostering and managing team members with fairness and clarity
- Solving the inevitable problems that come with a busy venue, calmly and on the fly

Felix is a small wine and pasta bar in Launceston that people genuinely love coming to. We're lively, a little indulgent, and responsible about doing hospitality well. Great pasta, interesting wine, and the kind of service that feels warm rather than polished.

About the Candidate

- 2 to 3 years in hospitality management, with experience running both a floor and a bar
- Strong, genuine wine knowledge.



We love helping people grow their palate but this role needs someone who already knows their way around a list
- Experience in a restaurant setting specifically, not just bar work
- Strong people skills, both with guests and with the team you're leading
- Someone who can think on their feet and problem-solve without it becoming a drama
- Organised enough to stay on top of the operational side, but personable enough that guests feel it when you're on the floor
- Management: 2 years (Preferred)
