As an Intern within our Community Development Team, you’ll get hands-on experience on real projects that help shape thriving communities across WA. You’ll be supported by experienced engineers and designers as you build your technical skills, grow your confidence, and see how ideas move from design through to delivery.
Your day-to-day could include:
Preparing design calculations, reports, drawings and documentation for a variety of civil infrastructure projects.
Getting hands-on with CAD, 12d design and drafting tools while learning from experienced designers and engineers.
Visiting construction sites to see projects come to life and understand how progress and quality are reviewed.
Attending project meetings, taking minutes and learning how teams collaborate with clients and stakeholders.
Gaining exposure to the preparation of fee proposals and the commercial side of consulting.
You’ll be part of a friendly,
collaborative team where no two days are quite the same.
From design work to site exposure and client-focused projects, this internship is a great opportunity to learn, contribute and explore where a career in civil engineering could take you.

About You
We're looking for curious, motivated,
and collaborative students who are passionate about making a positive impact in the communities we serve.
You'll ideally:
Be in your penultimate year of study (completing your degree in 2027).
Be currently undertaking an undergraduate or postgraduate qualification in Civil Engineering
Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills.
Show initiative, adaptability, and a willingness to learn.
Be committed to delivering sustainable and innovative solutions.
Be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or New Zealand Citizen.
