About the Role

The Operations Manager contributes to strategic priorities and leads the operational management of the Faculty of Health Unit. The role is responsible for supporting the Faculty General Manager (FGM) to:

- Build and maintain a culture of continuous improvement, effective communication and professional development within the faculty.

- Provide high level advice to the FGM and senior faculty leadership, and acts as their delegate when needed.

- Develop and maintain strong collaborative links across the faculty and the university to support effective and efficient planning and faculty operational management.

About You

To be successful in the role, you will need to demonstrate your suitability to the following selection requirements:

- A strategic thinker with an ability to analyse complex issues, assess impacts, and develop feasible solution.

- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders including excellent negotiation, conflict resolution,



relationship building and influencing skills together with high level of diplomacy and discretion.

- Highly developed organisational and time management skills, attention to detail, flexibility, and the ability to prioritise own workload, to work consistently within busy schedules and to meet deadlines.

- Significant and broad knowledge of the University's policies and procedures, particularly in relation to interpreting policy, or an ability to rapidly acquire such knowledge.

- Previous successful experience in senior management role relevant to the Faculty/Division context, particularly demonstrating effective planning and resource management skills including demonstrated ability to manage workflows, multiple complex projects and meeting deadlines.

Remuneration/Salary

Base Salary Range: $143,080 to $149,894 per annum (HEW 9)

This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary.

UTS staff also benefit from a wide range of include flexible work practices, generous parental leave and salary packaging opportunities.

This position is full time and appointment will be made on a fixed-term basis for 15 months (to cover staff parental leave until January 2028). The successful candidate will be expected to work 3-4 days onsite at UTS Broadway Sydney campus, with some hybrid work arrangements.
