About the role

INFORM is seeking an experienced Formwork Estimator to join our team in Auburn NSW. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in our construction estimating operations. As a Formwork Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate bill of quantities for tendering and measurements for site operations. You will be collaborating closely with our project management and construction teams to deliver precise estimating services that support successful project delivery.

Key responsibilities

- Prepare detailed formwork cost estimates and bill of quantities for commercial, residential and infrastructure construction projects

- Analyse project plans, specifications and site conditions to determine formwork system requirements and material quantities

- Liaise with contractors, architects and engineers to clarify project requirements and technical specifications

- Conduct site visits and measurements to accurately assess project scope and formwork complexity

- Prepare tender documents and quotations for formwork systems and labour costs

- Review estimates for completeness, accuracy and compliance with project specifications

- Provide cost analysis and value engineering recommendations to support project management decisions

What we're looking for

- Proven experience as a Formwork Estimator or similar estimating role within the construction industry, ideally 3+ years

- Strong understanding of formwork systems, materials and construction methodologies

- Proficiency with estimating software such as Bluebeam/ArchiCAD





- Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings accurately

- Knowledge of Australian construction standards, building codes and safety regulations

- Strong mathematical and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail

- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders

- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines

- Experience with quantity takeoff from plans and specifications

- Relevant qualifications in construction, estimating or related disciplines would be advantageous
